About

For 50 years, the City of Victoria Archives has been home to unique stories about Victoria's past.

As caretakers of the City's documentary heritage, the Archives does more than just collect and protect one-of-a-kind records. We also make this material available to the public in our Reading Room, and now through our online search. Whether you're a student, a researcher, or simply curious about Victoria's past - the Archives is here for you!

Please note that while this online database contains hundreds of archival descriptions and thousands of photographs, this is only part of what we have. Considerably more material is available in person in our Reading Room. New material is being acquired all the time and the scanning of archival records is ongoing. So, if you want to be sure you haven't missed anything, please visit us in person or be in touch.
