Fonds consists of photographs created by the BC Assessment Authority to assist with the assessment of property values. The photographs are mainly of residential properties located within the boundaries of the City of Victoria.

Collection consists of death and marriage notices clipped from the Victoria Daily Times newspaper from 1901-1939. Includes an index for the notices as well for as a limited number of biographical entries from other sources.
Collection consists primarily of photographs of streetcars, rail cars, and buses around Victoria. Also includes a small number of transportation-related magazines.
Fonds consists of glass plate negatives and 4x5 and 35mm black and white safety film negatives taken by staff and free lance photographers for the Daily Colonist and the Victoria Daily Times, The Express and the Times-Colonist newspapers. The negatives date from approximately 1938 to 1991.
The negatives relate to the following subjects: news events; scenes of the city and surrounding area including buildings, city streets, and views; some up-island locations including Duncan, Nanaimo and Ladysmith; commercial and industrial activities such as store fronts and interiors, and manufacturing operations; sporting events; military personnel and activities; war effort activities; recreational activities; school and church activities; transportation and shipbuilding as well as individual and group portraits which appeared in the “Society” section. The latter include anniversary, wedding, christening and engagement portraits.
The collection consists of a wide variety of reports by and about the City of Victoria. These published and unpublished City documents (CDs) include neighbourhood plans, transportation studies, heritage reports, downtown studies, as well as economic and social profiles, surveys, and architectural proposals.
Fonds consists of photographs of family and friends, houses, and coastal scenes, including Janet and Martin Grainger, houses on Samuel Island and in Esquimalt, and views of the Gulf Islands. Textual material consists of a copy of Martin Allerdale Grainger's book, Woodsmen of the West.
Fonds consists of six piano scores of operas autographed "Miss Helmcken 1873," who is believed to be Catherine Amelia Helmcken (later McTavish), Also included is a photograph of Mrs. Harry Helmcken in a limousine in Beacon Hill Park.
