This collection consists of a variety of original and copied documents on a number of topics pertaining to Victoria over the years. These documents, which were brought together by the City's first Archivist, Ainslie Helmcken, include programmes, menus, correspondence, booklets, newspaper clippings, and receipts.

Collection consists mainly of photographs of Victoria people, places, and events and souvenir booklets.

Fonds consists primarily of material pertaining to Ainslie Helmcken’s interest in researching and promoting Victoria’s history.
